The University of Oxford appoint Simpson Associates to develop a Financial Planning solution using IBM Cognos TM1.

The University of Oxford has appointed Simpson Associates to develop a Financial Planning solution using IBM Cognos TM1.

The University of Oxford (UoO) were looking to achieve more efficiency in their current financial planning processes, by reducing the overall administration of their existing methods, whilst introducing more agile, scenario-based planning capabilities.

The University went to market for a replacement system and issued a tender for a supplier and for a software solution, resulting in the appointment of Simpson Associates as the chosen partner to deliver the project and the selection of IBM Cognos TM1 as the software.

The University plan at an income and expenditure level of detail but across all departments, requiring the software to be scalable and allow a large number of multiple users to input data onto one system, IBM Cognos TM1 satisfied all the requirements.

“We are committed to delivering quality solutions to Higher Education Institutions and this is evidenced in our growing base of University clients and relationships. References from those Institutions working with us were a key factor in Oxford's selection process and we are thrilled to be their chosen partner for this project.

The IBM University team were also supportive throughout this engagement and they continue to be a long term partner for us as many Universities adopt Cognos TM1 Planning and Analytics solutions powered by IBM.”
