Today, William Rathbone (Will), Principal Consultant at Simpson Associates has been awarded Microsoft’s FastTrack Recognised Solution Architect for Power BI.
Microsoft’s Power Platform product engineering team recognises only the best practicing solution architects. The criteria: architects who achieve this distinction must exhibit deep architecture expertise, creating exceptional solutions during customer engagements for Power Platform.
Will began his IT career as a systems developer in investment banking. After gaining a firm foundation in the implementation and maintenance of bespoke financial and risk management applications he became increasingly interested in strategic approaches to reporting and the development of decision support systems. After completing an MBA in 2009, Will joined IBM Global Business Services in the Business Analytics and Optimisation practice, advancing to lead Analytics initiatives within IBMs Microsoft Practice. In 2019, Will joined Simpson Associates as Principal Consultant. His passion lies in delivering cutting-edge analytics solutions that solve real business problems for the clients that he works with.
