The ETL (extract, transform, load) Framework Accelerator is a Microsoft Azure-hosted solution by Simpson Associates that aims to standardise and accelerate the creation of a cloud hosted data platform. Specifically, the framework is a blank template that can be easily released into an Azure environment that uses a best practise ETL pattern hosted in Azure Data Factory.

It provides a framework for extracting data and transforming it through a Data Warehouse structure within an Azure SQL Database or Dedicated SQL Pool. Using an easy-to-follow methodology, we deploy the solution into your environment.

The modular style of the solution allows for additional functionality to be added to the framework, meaning it is as extensive as you need. 

The key components used to deploy the solution include Azure Data Factory, which allows data pipelines that can Extract, Transform and Load data. It also uses Azure SQL Database or a Dedicated SQL Pool to host configuration tables and stored procedures that the data factory depends on.
