Microsoft have stated that their business strategy is ”Cloud first, Mobile first”. That puts the Cloud at the forefront of their customers’ minds too: how does that apply to their Information Technology strategy? Should they adopt Cloud? Where would they adopt Cloud? Is it more cost effective to adopt Cloud?
Our event will de-mystify Cloud adoption in the context of Business Intelligence and Business Analytics and demonstrate the business cases where Cloud becomes compelling. We will describe the Cloud in a business context whilst explaining the terminology and demonstrating the components that allow cost effective, scalable and agile business systems to be built and deployed to every business user, everywhere.
Data is the most important asset for any organisation. To optimise the value of data you need to know your data and develop a strategy to exploit it. Building a modern data strategy encompasses structured line-of-business system data, web- and cloud-based data, unstructured data and device generated data (the Internet of Things) together with the software and techniques to access, process, store, secure, organise and consume as meaningful business information.
This half day event will address the issues raised with traditional data management systems and describe how cloud can be a cost effective response for organisations of all shapes and sizes. We will illustrate and demonstrate an end to end solution that has been built using the Microsoft Azure Cloud, comprising components of the Cortana Intelligence Suite and Power BI.
There will be ample time during the session to discuss how the cloud can fit into your current and future business objectives and we will explain various approaches to introduce these technologies into your organisation.
