Last December IBM introduced us to the new face of TM1, IBM Planning Analytics. This announcement introduced a cloud based self-service, Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting tool into the IBM Tool set. Up until now though the new face of TM1 had only been available in the Cloud. This week, however, IBM released these powerful planning capabilities for deployment on premise – or in hybrid environments.

Effective from December 14, 2016, IBM Planning Analytics Local (formerly IBM TM1) will be available. This innovative technology redefines planning and analysis with an infusion of visual, cognitive, and predictive analytics capabilities that are fast, easy and flexible to use and adopt; and now available on premises.

IBM TM1 technology serves as the cornerstone of IBM Planning Analytics offering, continuing to provide clients with the fastest and most scalable multi-dimensional data engine in the industry. As IBM announces this next generation of Planning Analytics, here are just a few of the latest advancements:

  • Workspace – a new, transformative user experience for web and mobile access;
  • Planning Analytics for Excel – comprehensive spreadsheet interface for planning, analysis, and reporting;
  • Hierarchies – virtual attribute analysis for unprecedented insight and analysis into TM1 data.
