Vacancy - Microsoft Business Intelligence Consultant (Ref: BI0802)

Simpson Associates is seeking to expand its technical consulting team and suitable candidates are asked to send their details to David Clark for consideration. By way of background to this rewarding role, ideal candidates will be considered with the following profile:-

  1. Typically, experience will have been gained of working within Microsoft Business Intelligence software in medium-large end user environments or from within a software development/consulting role; involving the following products and ideally with Microsoft certification;
    • SQL Server Integration Services,
    • SQL Server Reporting Services,
    • SQL Server Analysis Services,
    • Pro-Clarity,
    • Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server,
    • Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server.
  2. Demonstrable hands-on experience of working with Microsoft Business Intelligence software preferably Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 products,
  3. Experience may also have been gained in; data modelling, profiling and data integration project management (Prince 2, preferable but not essential)
  4. Self motivated, but also a team player, committed to delivering quality solutions,
  5. Responsible individuals who can demonstrate accountability and responsibility for time management when working to deadlines.

Location:-

The role involves travel (mainly in the UK) and time away from home on a regular basis is unavoidable. Duties will be split between working at client sites and also at times from our offices in York.
